Frequently Asked Questions
Straight answers to the questions we're actually asked most — on servicing cost, AMC, breakdown response, compressor types and spare parts. Don't see yours? Call or WhatsApp and ask directly.
How much does air compressor servicing cost in Chakan and Pune?
It depends on the compressor type (piston or screw), horsepower, running hours and how overdue the service is. A basic piston compressor service is inexpensive, while a screw compressor air-end overhaul costs more because of the parts and labour involved. We inspect the machine and its running-hour history first, then give you a written estimate before starting any paid work — there is no fixed one-size-fits-all price.
Do you provide 24/7 emergency compressor breakdown service near Talegaon, Chakan and Pimpri-Chinchwad?
Yes. Breakdown calls are answered 24 hours a day and given priority over routine work — call or WhatsApp us at +91 93221 61376 any time, with your location and a brief description of the fault (or a short video/photo). For sales, AMC and general enquiries, our office hours are 9 AM – 9 PM. Response time for a visit depends on your distance from Chakan and current job load, so a same-day visit is usual but not guaranteed for every location during peak hours.
What is included in an AMC (Annual Maintenance Contract) for an industrial air compressor?
A typical AMC covers a fixed number of scheduled preventive visits through the year (oil change, filter replacement, belt and coupling check, safety valve test, leak check, and general inspection), plus priority attention if the compressor breaks down between scheduled visits. Some contracts also bundle spare parts and labour into a single annual cost, while others charge for parts separately and only cover labour and visits. We size the contract to your compressor's capacity, brand and running hours — see our AMC page for the two common structures.
What is the difference between a piston (reciprocating) and a screw air compressor?
A piston compressor uses pistons moving inside cylinders to compress air in pulses — it is simpler, cheaper to buy and repair, and well suited to workshops or intermittent use of an hour or two a day. A screw compressor uses two meshing rotors to compress air continuously and smoothly — it costs more upfront but handles continuous, high-volume use with less vibration, lower noise and typically a longer service life. Factories running production lines or paint booths for a full shift usually need a screw compressor; a small garage or fabrication workshop is often better served by a piston unit.
How often should an industrial air compressor be serviced?
As a general guide, oil and filter changes are due roughly every 1,000–2,000 running hours for both piston and screw compressors, though the exact interval depends on the manufacturer's manual, ambient dust levels and duty cycle. For a single-shift factory that works out to roughly every 3–4 months; for two- or three-shift operations it can be monthly. Waiting until the compressor "sounds fine" is the main reason units fail early — running-hour based scheduling, which we track under our AMC plans, is more reliable than a calendar guess.
My compressor is not building pressure — what could be wrong?
Common causes include a worn or stuck non-return (check) valve, leaking piston rings or worn valve plates, a clogged intake air filter restricting airflow, a leak in the delivery line or fittings, or — on screw compressors — a faulty pressure sensor or clogged oil separator element. Some of these are quick fixes; others need a workshop visit. Describe the symptom (slow build-up, won't reach cut-out pressure, drops fast under load, etc.) when you call us and we can often narrow down the likely cause before we arrive.
Do you repair and service compressors of all brands, or only the ones you sell?
We repair, service and provide AMC support for piston and screw air compressors across brands and models, not only units we have supplied. Bring or send us the compressor's nameplate details (brand, model, HP/kW, serial number) over a WhatsApp photo and we can advise on parts availability and likely turnaround before you commit to a visit.
Can you supply genuine spare parts if I already have a compressor from another dealer?
Yes. We source air filters, oil filters, separator elements, non-return valves, pressure switches, safety valves, belts, gaskets, pressure gauges and air-end rebuild kits across common brands and capacities. Share your compressor's model and part number (or a clear photo of the worn part and the nameplate) and we will confirm availability and price before ordering.
What size or type of compressor do I need for my workshop or factory?
Sizing depends on your total air demand (CFM) at the pressure your tools or process need, plus how continuously the air is used. As a rough starting point: small workshops running one or two pneumatic tools intermittently are usually fine with a 1–5 HP piston compressor; CNC lines, paint booths, pneumatic assembly tools or continuous-process factories typically need a 10 HP-plus screw compressor with a properly sized receiver tank. We visit or ask a few questions about your equipment and usage pattern to recommend a size rather than guessing from HP alone — undersizing causes constant cycling and early wear, and oversizing wastes power.
Do you take my old compressor in exchange when I buy a new one?
This is evaluated case by case depending on the condition, brand and resale value of the old unit. Mention it when you enquire about a new compressor and we will inspect it and let you know if an exchange or buy-back is possible.
What do I need to prepare before installing a new air compressor?
In general: a level, vibration-resistant foundation, adequate ventilation and clearance for heat dissipation (especially for screw compressors), a dedicated electrical line sized for the motor with proper starter/VFD protection, and a piping layout that avoids unnecessary bends and long runs which cause pressure drop. For processes needing dry air (paint booths, pneumatic instrumentation, electronics-adjacent work) you will also need a moisture separator and dryer sized to your flow rate. We advise on this during the site visit before delivery so there are no surprises on installation day.
Which areas around Chakan do you cover for compressor sales, repair and AMC?
We are based in Chakan and regularly serve Pimpri-Chinchwad, Talegaon, Talawade, Tathawade and the wider Pune industrial belt. If your unit is outside these areas, call or WhatsApp us — we can often still help depending on the job.
